Tyre wear update and more

This Monday 24th February, we will be releasing an update to the wear rate of tyres in iGP Manager. Their durability will be close to the range from before the recent supplier update, although there will still be a degree of variation as introduced by the recent supplier changes. We will post a follow-up article on Monday announcing the change.

In the weeks following this we will begin investigating adding more tyre compounds, as we believe this could greatly spice up race strategies. Let us know your thoughts on this in the comments!

2D viewer permissions

We are also happy to announce for anyone that experienced issues loading the 2D viewer, the applet is now fully signed and any of the workarounds that were posted on the forum are no longer necessary. Instead, you simply have to confirm that you wish to give the applet permissions to run with a standard dialogue when loading it for the first time. You can check a box which will grant it permissions on all future loads, meaning this is only necessary once.

This would suggest why I've been off the pace a bit today and on Monday ;) Happy with the updates though.

What time will this update be going guys? Will it result in the attributes being changed for each tyre supplier?

You can always start the season off with relatively higher tyre rates and slowly decrease them as the season goes on as compounds are hypothetically R&D'd throughout the F1 season. And with a couple of mid-season hiccups along the way for each of the brands. Look at Pirelli last season and their tyre issues. That way it gives a great incentive to play live and see how you're tyres are performing as expected or if you have to adjust strategies and compounds

I think a medium tyre is the best way to go, so that you can balance wear and performance through the race with soft and hard. Also like the idea of having to use a minimum of 2 compounds per race.

I think an update to tyrre wear would be good, also another compound be good.

The race rule to use two types of tyre compound during a race would be great and change peoples strategies different than just running on a soft tyre all race.

Well done, I think this is correct, even 50% races tyre wear was to high. Well done for reacting so quickly.

Look forward to the new tyre compounds.

I think that adding more tyre compounds like adding the Medium and Super Soft tyres would greatly improve the race strategies and there would be more varied race strategies and thats a good thing as well cause different strategies would defiantly spice up the racing.
