Service upgrades

A stability improvement to the service was deployed earlier which addresses races restarting during an anomaly in the service. Now races will resume where they left off in the event of such anomalies, typically within seconds. We realise that having races restart for any reason was a big deal, and made it our top priority to address before anything else.
This update was trialled earlier in the week on 20% of the service and after some refinement was deemed ready for release today. It is now running on 100% of the races on the service, meaning they are all protected from restarting during an event. This will apply to all future races as well.
In the next few days we will be adding a fix for viewer freezing in Java 8 and looking to re-enable wet weather. These updates will grant better stability and compatibility to the service and mean we can focus fully on gameplay updates and development of our new viewers (which are no longer built in Java and will run in all browsers and on mobile devices) .
In the interim, we will also look in to implementing some of the great suggestions we've received to improve strategic variety during live races, before finishing the major updates. If you have any such suggestions let us know in the comments!
could u look into having the qualifying session live so we can spectate it
Maybe complicated I guess... but crashes, partial crashes, electrical problems, engine blow, gearbox, etc. are part of F1 !
It would be nice if you had the option to change driver orders during the race setup at the same time as you choose your tyres for each stint, so you can get them to push harder on the stints with harder tyres, to make them work better etc :)
To cut a long story short Lanny.. No they should not be re-set... They should be beaten when the system is sorted and updates to gameplay happen... Same as real life... If regualtions make the cars slower.. They don't re-set the lap records.
When i look at the lap records, most are 8 seconds faster than the fastest lap in our elite race. With the change of tires a few seasons back, are these records incapable of being beat with the new tires? Should they be retired and allow new ones. When i looked at the Germany lap record during a race, it was set in the wet on wet tires, 8 laps into the stint, and was 8 seconds faster. - See more at: http://www.igpmanager.com/news-article/102/service-upgrades#sthash.4RwGKIKn.dpuf
Looking forward to the improvements and changes that are coming. Keep at it Jack
will be good to be actually able to see a race hopefully
Random safety car please!
Good good news.. The wet weather is kind of good news.. I wouldn't mind it not coming back to this system IF iGP are still going down the roads of an In House System... ;)
It's great to see that the Java glitch will be fixed!!
